It is structured in 2 large blocks:
IDEAS, is the SDI of the Principality of Asturias, and as such contains: a viewer, a metadata catalog, a download center and a directory of web services.
The SITPA (Territorial Information System of the Principality of Asturias): contains geographic information categorized by themes (Active Geodetic Network of the Principality of Asturias, Urban Planning, Tourism, Culture, Environment, Land Use, Geology, Photo Library, etc.).

Yes, it can be done in several ways:

  • From the Download Center, which allows the download of all products, even allows the massive download of information.
  • From the Visualizer, which allows the export of the geographic information layers currently visible on the screen and also allows the downloading of cartographic maps of topographic maps and orthophotos.
  • Through WFS Services (Web Feature Service) consumed from an application.

The certifications of our products guarantee the veracity of the data in a specific area and at a precise moment (that of taking the information).
Certifications prove the absence of manipulations of geographic information and therefore are used to solve all kinds of problems (urban planning, boundaries, cadastre ... etc.).

The certification of a product consists of printing in A4 size of the area of ​​interest. Rate 09 is applied to each certification..

The SITPA-IDEAS offers the following services defined by the OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium):

  • WMS Service (Web Map Service): provides through the internet maps (georeferenced images of cartographic services) that can be viewed in an application.
  • WMTS (Web Map Tile Service): provides through the internet maps (georeferenced images of cartographic services) that can be viewed in an application. And since it allows storing data (in the cache) in more agile than WMS.
  • WFS Service (Web Feature Service): allows you to recover and modify spatial data in vector format.
  • Catalog Service CSW (Catalog Service): Facilitates the search for geographic information.

To facilitate the reuse of cartographic information, and given that Asturias is in an area with two spindles; it has been chosen to use ETRS 89 as reference system, U.T.M. in spindle 30 extended throughout the Asturian territory (EPSG: 25830).
Additionally, ETRS 89, U.T.M. in spindle 29 (EPSG: 25829) in those cases where the geographical framework of the cartographic product is located entirely within spindle 29.

SITPA-IDEAS distributes cartographic products in a wide variety of formats: PDfs; vector (shapefile, KML and DGN), and raster (ECW, JPG). Depending on the characteristics and purpose of each product, it has been decided to use one or several types of format.

Yes, you have a metadata catalog made according to Inspire. This catalog, which can be accessed from the main page, allows the search and location of cartographic resources contained in the platform.
