Spatial Data Infraestructure of Asturias

The Map of the Inventory of Cultural Heritage of Asturias (IPCA) has been added to the SITPA-IDEAS platform.

This IPCA includes movable and immovable assets with significant cultural value. It constitutes the second level of protection for Asturian cultural heritage, ranking below Assets declared of Cultural Interest.

This resource contains geographic and documentary information on the assets included in the IPCA, organized according to the corresponding inclusion category:

• INVENTORIED BUILDING OR CONSTRUCTION (IPCA-EI): Buildings or constructions of architectural, ethnographic or industrial interest and elements related to the Civil War.

• INVENTORIED ARCHITECTURAL COMPLEX (IPCA-CA): Continuous or dispersed groups of buildings of architectural or ethnographic interest.

• INVENTORIED GARDEN (IPCA-J): Gardens or spaces resulting from the arrangement of natural elements with historical value.

• INVENTORIED CULTURAL SITE (IPCA-SC): Places or sites with outstanding historical value.

• INVENTORIED ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE (IPCA-YA): places or locations where there are movable or immovable assets that could provide data of interest through their study using an archaeological technique.

• INVENTORIED PATHS (IPCA-V): Paths of historical interest.

• MOVABLE PROPERTY (IPCA-BM): Movable property included in the IPCA located outdoors (historical artillery pieces, some artistic works) is represented.

The geometries represented correspond to those established in the approval of their protection, except for positioning improvements obtained subsequently. In cases where inclusion in the IPCA did not cartographically specify the scope of protection, an interpretation has been made based on the information contained in the corresponding protection files.

* Although hight level of care has been taken in preparing the information presented, it cannot be officially validated, as the only documentation with legal validity is that contained in the administrative file corresponding to the protection of each of the cultural assets represented.
