Territorial Information System and
Spatial Data Infraestructure of Asturias

The following information layers belonging to the Topographic Base of Asturias at a scale of 1:5.000 (BTAst05) have been updated on the SITPA-IDEAS platform: 

• Hydrography / Lakes and Lagoons: 80 new geographical entities have been incorporated, distributed throughout the Asturian territory.

• Land Cover / Tree Cover: The information has been updated based on data extracted from the 2017 version of the Spanish High-Resolution Land Use System (SIOSE AR 2017). A series of land cover values ​​and attributes associated with tree cover have been selected. A topological review and cartographic adaptation have subsequently been carried out using the 2023 PNOA orthophoto and integrated with the rest of the topographic base layers at a scale of 1:5.000.
